The 2006 foaling season, has now officially ended with the arrival of a bay colt by Guy Laroche out of Tariana on July 28!

This season was one of "firsts," our largest foal crop ever, with babies starting to arrive in early May.

Two of our foals are out of first-time mamas, Tarika and Itanika, two of the three Kaspareit daughters we bred this year. We are very pleased by how well they produced!

First-time mother Tarika did an excellent job, delivering Traverse Red, our second foal of the year! The chestnut colt by Sonset's Sieger is a leggy, elegant baby athlete and a stallion prospect. Riki is a wonderful mother, taking her new job very seriously while still being extremely accomodating to the two-legged foster parents...

The second maiden mare, Itanika, surpassed our expectations by delivering Italia Dorata, an outstanding palomino Anglo-Trakehner filly, a little girl destined to produce golden Trakehners at Tannenwald in years to come!

The third Kaspareit mare, Tanzelfe, outdid herself with her first foal (Toujours Félicité) and now with her second, Tango d'Or, the first of our 2006 babies to arrive!

Our foundation mare, the grand dame Tara vom Castell, gave birth to Tarantino, a truly exceptional colt, a dark son of the Olympic eventing stallion, Windfall, who is without exception everything we dreamed of from this cross.

Tariana wrapped up our foaling season with the delivery of Tanguy, an elegant colt by the Verband Premium stallion, Guy Laroche.
