2006 Palomino Anglo-Trakehner Gelding

Born May 2, 2006, TANGO d'OR ("Golden Tango") measured 42 inches at the withers and is the largest foal we have bred. He arrived "ready for action"—well-muscled, strong, and balanced. We are amazed at how absolutely correct and strong he is right at the start.
Our first "golden child," Tango is almost pure gold, with a sparkle from one white sock. Well-conformed and substantial, he has a strong topline and excellent angles and proportions. He should mature at about 16.2 hands and will develop a deep golden color with a white mane and tail.
A son of the Thoroughbred stallion Guaranteed Gold xx, Tango is the second foal of the first Trakehner we bred, Tanzelfe. Elfi is virtually a clone of her sire, the German Trakehner Verband approved FEI stallion, Kaspareit, strongly stamped by the sire-lines of Ibikus and Impuls. These bloodlines are renowned for producing riding horses in all disciplines, equally at home in the dressage arena and on the stadium course. Elfi is a champion in hand and was the Champion of her ATA inspection.
Tango's half-sister Toujours Félicité is off to a great start on her show career. After showing in the USDF breeders shows for three years, she had her first full year of dressage competition in 2009. Her owner, FEI rider Rochelle Drisco McPherson, said, "I would recommend that anyone buy one of that mare's (Tanzelfe's) babies!"
Tango is registered with the American Trakehner Association, one of very few registered palominos in the ATA. He is maturing into a gorgeous, substantial horse and is approaching 16.2 hh at age 2 1/2. Consolidating the talents of his family of proven athletes, he has everything he'll need to turn some heads in competition! Tango started "school" in June.
