TARANTINO
2006 Dark Bay Trakehner Colt
(Windfall *Pg* x Tara vom Castell by Avignon II)
Owned by Heidi Lightle Blais, Van Kleek Hill, Ontario, Canada
TARANTINO (aka "Quentin") arrived in the evening of June 4, elegant, leggy, and very appropriately dressed in his formal dark coat! The eagerly anticipated foal from our grand dame, Tara vom Castell, this little gentleman is worth every moment of the wait.
Tall, dark, and refined, Quentin is absolutely stunning. He is the epitome of Trakehner type with superb sport horse conformation: His elegant arched neck, his withers extending far into his back for an excellent saddle position, his strong connections, his large hindquarters and lovely hip, and those long, long legs.... His noble, chiseled head and large eyes reflect his Arabian and Thoroughbred ancestry.
As he masters the command of those long foal legs, we see glimpses of the athlete he is destined to become. Each day this colt becomes more impressive.
The son of the Olympic eventing stallion Windfall, Quentin carries the blood of generations of the breed's top athletes and progenitors both top and bottom: Habicht, Burnus, and the blood that gave us the Elite sire Arogno, with all of the nobility of the Tapete mare family.
Power, poise, and poetry in motion, Quentin is an outstanding performance- and stallion-prospect, embodying a legacy of selective performance breeding.
Congratulations to Heidi Lightle of Vankleek Hill, Ontario on the arrival of Tarantino, purchased in utero by Heidi as her future performance horse!
