2001 OSB Trakehner Mare
(Kaspareit x Tariana by Graditz *E*)
Owned by Joie Roddy, Sterling, Illinois
TANZFEE ("Dance Fairy") is a lovely mare sired by the deceased Verband-approved stallion, Kaspareit, and out of a mare by the deceased Verband Premium and ATA Elite stallion, Graditz *E*. She is affectionate, bold, extremely intelligent, and unflappable in disposition. Strongly stamped by Impuls-Ibikus breeding with Graditz' refining influence, Tess possesses swinging floating gaits, a strong topline, impulsion, a free shoulder, and a gorgeous face. She should mature at about 16.1 h.
Tess was purchased by Virginia Slavin at age 2 1/2 and moved to Texas. In November 2005, we got to see Tess at age 4 1/2 at the American Trakehner Association Annual Meeting in Houston. Tess was inspected and approved for the ATA Official Stud Book and also received the moose-antler brand of the Trakehner breed.
She has matured into a beautiful, elegant yet substantial mare. Still growing, her official measurements are 16.0 h 1/4" with a heartgirth of 77.6" (197 cm) and cannon bones of 8.1" (20.5 cm). She scored "8" on her type and frame under ATA Inspector Sam Eidt, and Inspection Committee president Brad Kerbs remarked that she is the most typey Kaspareit offspring that he has seen.
In 2008, Tess was sold to Joie Roddy of Four Leaf Farm in Sterling, Illinois. We can't wait to see how Tess produces!
